Princess Castle Birthday Cake
This cake is a two layer 8 inch round cake for the base, and a two layer 4 inch round for the "castle". Each cake is iced in buttercream frosting and covered with fondant. The castle is covered in a grey and white marbled fondant, then "sponge painted" with white royal icing for texture. Using brown fondant, I then cut out a door and placed it to the side of the cake. Using the marbled grey/white fondant, I made stones to outline the doorway and the sidewalk (using more royal icing as grout for the sidewalk). I finished off the top of the castle with more grey/white "blocks", then brushed the castle with lustre dust for sparkle and shine. Finally, covering the base with green buttercream using the "grass tip". I then placed store bought Princesses on top of the cake.
Perfect for any little girl's Princess dream cake...
