Party recipes can sometimes be what makes or breaks a party. I have been to many parties with and without my children and often judge the success of the party on the food that is served - or sometimes lack of it!

Quantity is often an issue for most people, not knowing how much food to make. A good guideline is to think about how much one person would eat, put it on a plate to try and judge, and then times that by how many people you have coming.
