Murder Mystery

The thing with murder mystery parties is that it is very hard to plan your own mystery without a kit.

Obviously if you are able to then that's great. You may also be able to find a drama group in your area that provide murder mysteries plays and are able to come to your party, although these are few and far between.

You could have the party without the mystery, just decorate and get everyone to dress up like a Halloween party or as characters from Clue. But this kind of defeats the object a little.

The games on this site also come with character lists and invitations which will help you plan your party. Once you have chosen a game then it will be easier to help with how to theme your party around that game.

Murder Mystery problems

My sister is turning 18 and is throwing a murder mystery party. We don't want to buy a kit, because they are restricting and don't contain everything we need. This site really wasn't helpfull at all, but gave a few good ideas which we may or may not use. Overall I was quite unsatisfied, and will probably end up buying a kit. Any good suggestions? There aren't really any other websites concerning a mature murder mystery party.
